1985, Bandai entered the video game market.
January 1997, a merger between Bandai and Sega to create Sega Bandai Ltd. was planned but fell through.
On September 2005, Bandai fell under the management of Namco - Bandai Namco Holdings (Bandai Namco Group).
March 2006, Bandai and Namco video game operations were merged to create Namco Bandai Games Inc. Bandai would continue to make physical toys.
February 15 2018, sister company Bandai Spirits was established for products aimed at adult customers.
