Feuerland Spiele

Feuerland Spiele was founded by Frank Heeren and Uwe Rosenberg in 2012. Class-mates since geography 101, they have been staying friends through their common passion - board games. While Uwe soon started to design games for a living and has had great success with his games Bohnanza and Agricola, Frank became a programmer and was 'just a gamer' for a long time.
At the beginning of 2012, however, Terra Mystica allowed Frank to go one step further: he founded Feuerland Spiele together with Uwe, who was serving as an adviser in the first years.
Today, Feuerland consists of 4 persons working full time, and a couple of persons working part time.
(Feuerland is the German word for Tierra del Fuego)

The Feuerland catalogue contains two lines:
The Feuerland Black Label stands for highly strategic or tactical games for advanced gamers (e.g. Terra Mystica, A Feast for Odin, Ark Nova)
The Feuerland Blue Label stands for games that provide lots of fun with simpler rules (e.g. New York Zoo)

Most of their English editions are distrubuted by Capstone Games.

Fun fact: Feuerland is one out of only 3 publishers worldwide, that have at least 3 of their original game titles ranked in the BGG top 30 (Apr 2022: Gaia Project, Terra Mystica, A Feast for Odin, Ark Nova)
